Accessibility at
Questivo
We're committed to making Questivo accessible to all users. Our platform follows WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines because exploration should be for everyone.
Built for Everyone
Questivo is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We have designed and continue to develop Questivo with accessibility in mind, following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target standard.
We regularly review our platform against accessibility best practices and welcome feedback from our users to help us improve.
Accessibility Features
Here's how we've built accessibility into every part of Questivo.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. Tab through the interface, use Enter to activate, and Escape to dismiss.
Focus Indicators
Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements when navigating by keyboard, ensuring you always know where you are on the page.
Color Contrast
Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios — 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text — in both light and dark modes.
Reduced Motion
Users with "Reduce Motion" enabled experience reduced or eliminated animations. All scroll-triggered reveals and transitions respect this preference.
Dark Mode
Full support for system-level dark mode preferences. The interface adapts automatically, and you can toggle manually at any time.
Semantic HTML
Proper use of semantic elements — headings, landmarks, lists, and ARIA attributes — for assistive technology support.
ARIA Labels
Interactive elements include appropriate ARIA attributes for screen readers, ensuring all functionality is announced correctly.
Touch Targets
Minimum 44×44 CSS pixel touch targets per WCAG 2.5.5, ensuring all interactive elements are easy to tap on mobile devices.
Known Limitations
Questivo is a geospatial exploration platform. Some features are inherently visual, but we provide alternatives.
Interactive Maps
The map interface is inherently visual. We supplement it with text-based search and list views so all content is accessible without the map.
Real-Time GPS
GPS-based features like proximity detection require device location services. Alternative manual completion methods are available.
User-Generated Content
Photos and media uploaded by users may not always include alt text. We encourage users to add descriptions and are working on automated alt text generation.
Your Feedback Matters
We're always working to improve accessibility across Questivo. If you encounter any barriers or have suggestions for how we can do better, please let us know.
You can reach our accessibility team at accessibility@questivo.com or use our contact form with the subject "Accessibility Feedback."
